Founded in 1983, the Family History Society of Arizona (FHSA) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting individuals in the discovery, preservation, and sharing of their family histories.
Our mission is to foster a deeper understanding of genealogy through education, research, and community engagement. We are proud to serve genealogists of all experience levels—from beginners to seasoned researchers—by providing resources, guidance, and meaningful connections.
As an organization, FHSA is committed to:
- Promoting the study and research of family histories and genealogies -- We encourage original genealogical research and support members in uncovering the stories of their ancestors.
- Preserving and sharing genealogical resources -- We assist in the collection, preservation, and dissemination of historical and genealogical materials for current and future generations.
- Educating members in ethical and effective research methods -- We provide instruction in sound genealogical principles, scientific methods, and research best practices while upholding the highest ethical standards.
- Sustaining our mission through support and fundraising -- As a nonprofit, we welcome donations, gifts, and bequests to help further our mission and expand our services.
FHSA is built on a foundation of community, collaboration, and a shared passion for family history.
We invite you to join us and become part of a welcoming society committed to preserving the past and inspiring the future.
