The Book Fund Committee is made up of a chairman and one representative from each chapter. The committee meets once or twice a year to select the items to be purchased. Items are selected from other states on a rotation basis. There has been over $10,000 donated by FHSA members to this fund. The next time you are in the Arizona State Library, Genealogy Collection, look for the books with the blue dot on the spine. Those are the books that FHSA donated.
Donations are made at FHSA chapter meetings by members and visitors to purchase books and CDs for the Genealogy Collection at the Arizona State Library the state capitol building in Phoenix. Direct donations for the book fund may be made to FHSA (a not-for-profit 501(c)3 organization) through the FHSA Treasurer and directed to the Book Fund.
